Having problem finding the correct timing cover for the reverse flow on an 89-90 EFI install in an early car. I have an RF E8AE-6059-AA cover and an E5 cover and a C-8 cover. They all have the same flow pattern. What would be the downside of using a non reverse flow water pump and still maintain the serpentine EFI? I understand that the inlet would still have to be on the driver side.

I thought it was reverse rotation on the water pump, not reverse flow on the engine.

It's all about the water pump, not the timing cover. I think the covers pretty much interchange other than dipstick hole and early 60's stuff.

Someone will be along shortly to correct me if I'm wrong.
