For all of us that want to fix our own EEC-IV electronic engine control, I highly recommend a book called, "How to Understand, Service and Modify Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control" by Charles O. Probst, SAE. ISBN 0-8376-0301-3, paperback, $34.95, available at Amazon.

It's an awesome explanation and reference for the Ford EEC-IV systems. You'll find out that these systems aren't nearly as difficult to diagnose and repair as you think.
