i have a 5.0 Thunderbird .. i'm gonna put World Windsor JR heads on it from my 306 thats currently in my '72 Mustang (thats gonna be exchanged for a 351C Boss) complete with guideplates and roller rockers..

are the stock Ford pushrods ok for the guideplates??? or do i have to reach in my wallet again???

You're gonna have to reach for your wallet; you need hardened pushrods when using guideplates.

Not all guide plates are created equal either. If the plates are solid type and not split you can run into rocker roller tip location alignment problems. You may even spend three hours or more just moving the rockers around reguardless of guide plates to get a good fit.
