Hi guy's,Need some help. Rebuilding My nieces 1st car...80 Gia,3.3 liter(200) c-4. The kid who sold it to her said tranny was bad. I got under her and found the Modulator hose was loose, and caused fluid to blow all over the underside. The "set" screw in modulator was almost all the way out. Replacement is almost all the way in. I assume "In" is correct. When I went to replace the modulator, I CAN"T find the small shaft that goes into the transmission. My questions are.1) Is it possible just a bad modulator caused low fluid,,so no shifts.?What would cause the Modulator hose to "Blow 2) Can't get shaft at Parts Store...any help? 3) will any Post 1970 C-4 "BOLT In" even a V-8)
Thanks for your help, I hope to get her running good for a first Car for my niece.
Thanks, again

The poor shifting was probably caused by the loose hose.

I think the pins are the same, a Ford parts man can tell you by the part number.
