A friend and I just rebuilt a 5.0 engine in his 86 hatchback. We got a gt instrument from ehay with a 140 speedo and 7g tach. His original computer is for a tbi car but we went with a 600 edelbrock carb. His tach seems to be registering way to high(like 5000 rpm's at 55 mph) His old cluster had an adjustment hole with 4,6 and 8 listed around it with a set screw in the center. His new cluster has the hole but no adjuster in it. Is there any other way of calibrating it to get it closer to normal? Thanks for all of your help.

You have to take it to a radio repair/speedo station. They have to change the calibration for you. Call your local F/L/M dealer for the name of the shop they use.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 First SS/MA in the TENS!
