Is the driveshaft in fox body mustang the same, wheither it is a automatic or T5 at the front yoke? The parts place has two different u-joints. What is the difference?

Measured from center of U-joint to center of u-joint. 1979 SROD 45.83", 1979 C-4 46.25", 80-81 C-4 46.25, 82 C-5 45.51, 82-83.5 SROD 45.68, 83.5-85 T-5 46.19, 83.5-85 AOD 45.75, 86-93 T-5 45.30, 86-93 AOD 45.70.

These measurements are from "The Official Mustang 5.0 Tecnical Reference and Performance Guide 1979 - 1993".

All 79-93 yokes are 1.21 dia. 28 tooth. 86-93 automatics have a damper collar around the yoke tube.

The 1310 u-joint is used on all cars from 1979 to 1985 and on automatics from 86 to 93. Sticks from 86 to 93 used the 1330 u-joint. The 1330 is stronger. Same cource.
