Yes you do. YOu will need either a FoMoCo "steel" gear or an aftermarket (Comp, Crane, MSD, etc) bronze gear. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Which billet dist? If it's the one that was ment to be used as a direct replacement for EFI cars it should already have the correct gear on it for that block. Of course, I could be mistaken, but i dont see why they would put the wrong kind of gear on a direct replacement dist.------------------ -FISHTAIL 92GT "The Ghetto Sled" CMPS major @ University of MD college park Best ET/MPH thus far: 14.40/100.67mph....damn wheel spin. I went with a steel gear from Ford. I tore the bronze gear up on my 302(Z303 cam).
