This is my 100th Post I need to clean the trim around the top of the doors and the windshield pillers, etc on my 90 vert. When I waxed the car, some of the wax got on this material and doesnt wanna come out. Its some sort of rough material... dullcoated... I'm sure someone here has seen it before and know's how to clean it. Any suggestions would be great. thanks, --mark ------------------ '66 Mustang Coupe '90 Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible '85 F150 XLT 302 '97 Ranger XLT extended cab '96 GMC Jimmy 4X4 (the wife's)

It's not a problem, I'm just suprised that no-one else here has any input on this... Someone has to have figured out how to clean this... easily. Its really quite a pain in the a$$...--mark ------------------ '66 Mustang Coupe '90 Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible '85 F150 XLT 302 '97 Ranger XLT extended cab '96 GMC Jimmy 4X4 (the wife's)

Mark, I have a couple of suggestions for you.First, get one of those plastic scrubbing pads, the green ones that are made for cleaning pots and pans. The ones I use don't have soap or anything in them. Use some plastic protectant for lubricant (I swear by 303 Protectant) and gently rub at the wax buildup. Go easy...you might want to try a less obvious spot first. It should lessen or remove the wax. Before you wax the car next time, put a good layer of the protectant on the black trim BEFORE you wax. That way, if you do get a little wax on the trim, it should come off. Good luck. ------------------ Steve - M&M Member #690 '90 Limited Edition Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible '67 Mustang Coupe Member: Vancouver Island Mustangs Association; 1990 Limited Edition Mustang Registry Steve's 1990 Limited Edition Convertible Website
