OK, this my seem like a dumb question but I need to replace the fuel filter on my 91 GT. How do I do that without getting fuel everywhere and turning myself into a human briquette? I know where the fuel filter is located, I just don't know how to safely disengage / reengage the fuel pressure. HELP!!!

Disconnect your electric fuel pump and then start the car. The system should run dry in a few seconds and kill the engine, and you will have zero pressure in the lines.

Not at all. They are basically little electric solenoids, not to over simplify them.
