I do believe my heater core is gone. Anybody ever had one replaced? If so, how much did it cost? I already have my interior out so if I am going to do it, now would be the time. I have heard the horror stories of people doing it themselves. Guess I could go without it since it is my toy and not a primary means of transpo.

I figure that if I put it off much longer it will be summer and I will no longer need heat .Anyways, to do it the "right" way (discharge a/c, etc) I was quoted $600. To do it by cutting the case I believe the quote was $400 by a Mustang performance shop. I just wanted to see how much money I was saving by doing it myself . ------------------ Tim M&M Member #35 1965 Mustang coupe, 200 I6, Holley 2300, Clifford header, true duals w/ 26" Smithys 1988 Mustang GT AOD vert, 15.810 @ 88.871 mph 100% stock w/ no traction 1976 Silverline Comoro 18' trihull ski boat, 188 hp 302 I/O, another toy http://all.at/mustang https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/I65Stang.html

I dunno...I think Alex would love to do it for you for a really cheap price! If you're bound and determined to do this on your own, this site http://pw1.netcom.com/~skent/mustang/1990/heater_core/hcore.html is always listed on the different UBB's as a helpful how-to. Stewart

Well, guess for that price, she will only come out on those nice sunny days when the top can come on down!

If you have 3 days, some metric and other trick tools, you to can be a master at changing a heater core in a late model mustang....................Just remember, do it right, or dont do it at all!!!!!!!! Squeaks and rattles suck!Tony
