Wow! My passenger door lock actuator is dead, so I thought I'd check out ebay to see what they were going for. This guy just SOLD a pair for $47.50!!

I was thinking...oh...$5!!

I think I can find a donor.....that's just crazy!!

They go for about $70 new for an Explorer. Was it new?

You should see the price of used vert 1/4 window motors! I happened upon one at the picknpull, $8 later it was mine .

I got a great set off ebay for $26, plus shipping, but Ive seen them go as high as $80, I've been watching for some time now, so patience is the key !

I'd check the local salvage yard. I got one that was quaranteed to work for $15 a few years ago.

The trick is some door lock actuators will fit other applications just by changing the rod. Its a pain in the butt, but it has been done. Or you just get the new ones and be done with it.
