This weekend I was replacing some burned out bulbs in my instrument cluster. When I disassembled the dash and removed the speedo etc, I noticed a circuit board that clips into the back of the cluster assembly. Does anybody know what this is for??

Thanks....

I don't recall seeing what your talking about last time I had mine out, but my best guess would be something to do with gauge calibration. That way they could use the same cluster on different model cars and just change the board. Though.....I"m not sure why you would really need to do that. Oil pressure/water temp/ and fuel shouldn't need any seperate calibration regardless of engine size. Though it might have something to do with warning lights, and the check engine/air bag light. But to be honest....I'm just guessing, so I'm not sure
