Does anyone know where you can get info on paint markings for different parts?I am cleaning up my rear leafs and I found this picture a while back on ebay from a '70 Mach 1 M code with FMX but I wondered where I could verify these are the right markings. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '70 Mustang Convertible - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 XL

Steve, The markings in the picture you posted are correct according to "1964 1/2 - 1973 mustang Detailing Guide from K.A. Helm and publish in 1995. I'm not sure where we got it??? But we have had it for some time. Covers Build sheets, paints, engine compartment, undercarriage, interior, misc., wheels, Front Springs, Rear springs, Front stablizer bars. I can scan the section on the rear springs or other areas if you need it. Just let us know.Dave & Terri ------------------ '65 Mustang Fastback '66 Mustang Coupe '02 Explorer XLT Common sense isn't common anymore.

Your welcome Steve. Terri thinks we got it from E-bay. I checked my NPD catalog and did not see it listed. Great information in that book and well worth the investment.Dave & Terri ------------------ '65 Mustang Fastback '66 Mustang Coupe '02 Explorer XLT Common sense isn't common anymore.

I looked for it on Amazon and had no luck. When you get a free moment would you mind seeing if it has a ISBD number?------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '70 Mustang Convertible - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 XL

After cleaning them I found they still had the original stripes in place. You can barely see the brown stripes in this picture but you can make them out. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 - '70 Mustang Convertible - '72 Mustang Sprint - '94 F-150 XL

Steve, So what do the paint stripes tell ya? Were they some sort of 'assembly check off' marker, an indicator of rating, or what? Ryan
