I worked in a liquor store back in the early 70's and you would not beleive how much of that stuff we sold at .79 a bottle. Port was another big .75 cent seller.------------------ -1974 351w Block Bored .30-1969 351w Heads Fully Ported -Custom made Ford 9" with 3" Axle Tubes-28 Detroit Locker-3.73 Gears-Shelby Traction Bars Pics Michael

Well , there was always Mad Dog 20/20. You come home with an ass full ......wake up the next morning thirsty as hell. So you go take that big drink of water and the drunk starts all over. Not a good choice. It didn't make milking the cows go any better either.

Geez, I remember that when I was in the service, but our favorite was Red Mountain at $1.69 per GALLON. We didn't mess around with those sissy small bottles.------------------ reliving youth

When I was 16 I got picked up for drinking Old English 800 talls in the park. At that age and a six pack ( which we got from the back door pizza parlor) for $2. I barley recall the cops driving me home and talking to Mom. The best part was when her boyfriend went to the park to get my Pinto he was stopped as they thought he was a park pervert. It was about 1 am.------------------ -1974 351w Block Bored .30-1969 351w Heads Fully Ported -Custom made Ford 9" with 3" Axle Tubes-28 Detroit Locker-3.73 Gears-Shelby Traction Bars Pics Michael

Yeah that has been around a long time as I remember Thunderbird in the late fifties while I was in the service. We used to buy it for less that a dollar a bottle when we were getting short of cash a few days before pay day. There was another wine back then in the same category called Golden West

The girls around here used to love Wild Irish Rose. They'd be a lot of fun until they tossed their cookies. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip
