I couldn't even buy porn mags in the days before the Internet! How does a guy even BEGIN to slap a vibrator on the counter and look the clerk in the eye??? I bet you came out with some nervous little line about how you were buying it for a friend Well, you would be I suppose, unless you planned to shove it up your a$$!

Yeah but ya know, I don't need a rubber doll. Fingers are amazing things!
I guess what I feel uncomfortable with is discussing this - MY problem, right? I figure if a woman wants to do this stuff fine, but it's hard for me to listen to. Same as I don't tell the wife if I beat off in the toilet the night before.
And I know there are G spots and X spots and Y spots that fingers just can't reach.
So what is it about vibrators that are so great?
My understanding, as a fella, was that yanking the plank was always "perfect" but since sex is never "perfect" it can never be a substitute for the real thing. Can vibrators ever approach even the most God-awful lay?

im not sure how vibration is measured. but if your tongue can keep up with that fast a movement for longer then 10 minutes then you must be god. your expressing your feelings so speak out.

Heh Trash, you know that quiz thingy where at the end it says "One of three contestants will now try to lick their elbow"?
Well, I just tried wiggling my tongue as fast I could and you're right. I could only manage four wiggles (complete up and down motion) for about 30 seconds before getting totally bored!
I can see how a woman would want a man who can wiggle his tongue for 10 minutes. But do they need the speed? If I'm not mistaken, these vibrators hum, they're wriggling so fast. A bit like sitting on an electric razor.
Do they have speed settings?

OK, I've been thinking about this all day!!! Here's my deep-seated psychological problem with vibrators ...
I'm the kind of guy who likes to believe his Mum / wife / Queen / heroine doesn't take a dump, fart, or ... use a vibrator.
It's nothing against dumping, farting or vibrators per se. Heck, I fart with the best of them!
But I put my women up on a pedestal. Of course it's totally unrealistic, but so far I've got along just fine. In 48 years, I've never heard my Mum fart, and my wife drops an audible one in front of me once a year.
Of course, I know the minute my back is turned, they're all dumping and farting like crazy - and maybe using vibrators too. But that's no problem 'cos it's not in my face.
Now if a woman I have no interest in keeps a vibrator in her bedside table, I'm cool with that. But if I was interested in her, it would be a complete turn off and I would walk away.
That's just the way God made me Thanks for listening Trash, and helping me get my hangups out in the open!
Simon

OK, I'm relaxed now The word Trash, is not "trashy", it's "undignified". Now don't get me wrong. We ALL do undignified things all the time, but we try to do them without others seeing or even knowing. If I didn't have to smoke and type to send this post, I'd have one hand scratching my balls and the other up my nose. But only as long as know one's looking!
So vibrators are great, but I like my women to keep them hidden in the same drawer as their panty shields and colostomy bags.
And if they're good at that, you need never know they have one! Steve, can you be so sure??

Dang, KK....we've been busted......

But ya know, Mom is right.

There really isn't a subsitute for a real man....

Except, sometimes there can be a major obstacle in finding one..... it's call having a husband.

diclaimer: that is not to say that just because a man is a husband, he can no longer be a real man. this only happens in extremely rare circumstances....has something to do with the wedding cake, I think

Yes, Trash, VD was all the rage before AIDS came along! I know a lot of youngsters who've never heard of venereal disease. I guess they're all lumped together as STDs now - which, by the way, meant Standard Telephone Directory for the first 20 years of my life in England!
And just to prove how utterly out of touch us olduns can be too, I thought until about 30 posts into this thread that V Day was the day marking victory over Japan. I thought maybe all American males puffed out their chests in pride and serviced the wife extra well to prove their machismo!

August 6th 1945 is also listed as on of two of the V J Day dates.
Try searching Google and see what is listed under V Day, I was surprised.

If you think about it you are asking a question that only you can answer. Valentines day is said to be a day of love and you are to show it in your own way and in a way your lover will enjoy. For instance, My wife's sister had better get a shiny metal object with a stone in it worth at least two months salary or there is a well used dawg house in her husbands future. My wife however has gotten rings, charms, watches...etc and she does not wear them. She loves flowers though. I started buying her tools. One year I got her a Co2 bottle and regulator, nail guns, saws, and a 18 volt combo set. She uses them daily and seems to enjoy them. I also find that women change over the years and you have to figure out how to change with them in what they want. What ever you do should be fine as long as you show her that your making her special. Whether it is flowers, dining, dancing, candy hearts, or a trinket, the idea is to show her your feelings and let her know that she is your special someone. I wish you the best of luck and it does not get any easier as time passes.

Then think over the years and what she enjoys and likes and run in any or every direction you feel necessary to show her how special she is to you.

trashline, so you have to make up for something missed huh. Just a few suggestions. Is your grrl and romantic? If she is, try recreating a special night that the two of you may have had together. Or try a candle light picnic for two. If its cold where your at, do it in the living room of your home. Is there a place that she talks about that she would love to go to. If so, try creating that type of atmosphere for her. Say she wanted to go to Italy, if you don't cook, order Italian, get the checkered table cloth and napkins, a nice bottle of wine, mood music, and maybe a little gift of Italian culture.

If your stuck on a gift that you want to purchase for her, try spending a few hours going through the mall, just pay attention to the things she looks at and enjoys. Everyone is different and enjoy different things, so she is really the best person to clue you in to what she wants. Just remember that the day is for lovers and try putting everything else aside for the day and just enjoy each other.

Good Luck
Trish

P.S. We will be looking forward to your report on the 15th.
