happy happy ho ho!!! i just have to share this with everyone:

my niece kelsey [keds daughter], is incredibly cool!! she is almost 9 years old is excelling at learning to sew ..... and today..... she gave me a very awesome 'stuff sack' in purple fabric with a pic of my 67 cougar hot-pressed on the front of it!!!

it is a drawstring bag and it will hold anything from a pair of jumper-cables to a pair of stilletto heeled pumps.... heh heh

thanks kelsey and thanks ked for helping awesome lil' miss with her project!! fantastic job GRRLS!!!

Thats cool.

My 12 yeor old daughter (named Kelsey also) is also showing an interest in sewing, she made herself a bag to carry her 4-wheeler supplies in(gloves goggles and chap stick). She also made a bag for her mother and grandmother.
She said she wants to use her Christmas money to buy a "real" sewing machine.

Maybe it has something to do with the name.

Thanks, KK.

The plan was to make one for all the Grrls in the family.

Unfortunately, time did not allow!!!

Well, why didn't you bring it to our Christmas Party and show it to us?

She is doing a great job for a beginner...She actually made a skirt and top the second month that she started sewing...and it was really cute...

One other "granny" and I bought her a "real" sewing machine in November (early Christmas and birthday)...and she was so pleased...started sewing on it a few days after she arrived home...

Ask KK and Ked why they didn't learn to sew!!
I believe Ked made a poncho when she was about 11 or 12...

So THE KELSTER definitely takes after her grannies!!
