I remember those days as I was a teenager in the fifties and my mother and most of my friends mothers were that way. Gees life was so mush simpler back then and families seemed so much closer. My Mom and Dad were married over fifty years and seemed very happy so I surely can not condemn that way of life.

Steve - You know what's funny about this? This graphic was sent to me via email in June of 2001. I highlited some of the "rules" I really liked and then circled the last one using a graphics editor. I then sent it to some of my email buddies. It appears that image has been degraded by faxing or further scanning (highlites and circle are not in color and are faded), but that's the one I doctored up! It's a small Internet eh? Brian

My mother was one of the most liberated women of the 20th century, but she never let my father find out, and that kept him happy...

God certainly picked the right time for me to be born. I would certainly been taken out back and beat to death if I had to abide by those rules.
