Where did my first post go?? Sorry if it shows up after I post this, or shows up elsewhere in the forums!I just had to vent. Some young puke actualy had the cojones to ASK me how I "GOT MY BOYFRIEND TO LET ME DRIVE HIS CAR!" agggghhhh!!! So I sweetly said to him, "You got it all WRONG honey, my HUSBAND has his own toys to play with, and they don't come with the car. I let HIM drive MY car once in a while! Didn't you notice HE was in the BACKSEAT as we drove in?" This was at our local monthly parking lot party for classic cars and hot rods. All the guys near us (even the one's who didn't know me me, went "whoaaaaa" and backed up a bit when he said that.) Thanks for letting me vent girls. I have been steaming about it for 24hours, now I feel better! ------------------ 68 Mustang Fastback-"Elvis" 55 Ford F100- Panel-Volare IFS, 351C Pictures of Elvis!-(Under folder Elvis our 68 fastback) Pictures of the panel project! When we first moved to this area, there was a guy who had a ginger colored '70 coupe....identical to SheStang. I used to get asked all the time why I was driving his car!! Talked to a guy about putting dual exhaust on her. Took up in the morning and left her to get the work done. Called in the afternoon to check on the progress....he said, "oh, I thought that was Richard's car. I haven't done a thing to it". I was sooooo happy when Richard painted his car! I even got the ginger interior he had left. Too bad he totalled his car a couple of years later!

oh, yeah ~ and on the rare occassion I would allow my husband to drive her (family in tow). A woman told him once, "sir, I like your car". He said, "thanks". I was pi$$ed!!! He said, "what was I suppose to say?" I told him, "thanks, but it's my wife's car!!"

I dont have a cool street car. But everyone has come to accept the fact that The Rockin Horse is my race car now.(it was hubby's til this past year when I took her over) Last Friday, I was at wedding rehearsals and hubby decided to take the car to the track for a little action. He told me late Friday that over a dozen people came up to ask him Why I wasnt driving, and where I was.... teeeheeeee. SO I guess it goes both ways sometimes grrls.

i got tired of hearing that too about my car so i put Girlie Girl Racing on the top of the windshield so that they knew it was MY car not my dad's or anyone elses. people sure get a kick out of it when my dad drives it. i went to a car show 2 weeks ago and took both stangs. everybody kept telling my dad that he had a nice Mach1. ya know what his answer was? thanks but it's my daughters car.

Just went and looked at your pics. Nice car, but I like the 66 coupe more. I'm no expert, just a personal opinion.

Thanks!! I love that car too...I gave it to my youngest sister for her 14th birthday. She is almost done mechanically with it, just has the body work to go now. It is a 289/3speed with a factory bench. ------------------ 68 Mustang Fastback-"Elvis" 55 Ford F100- Panel-Volare IFS, 351C Pictures of Elvis!-(Under folder Elvis our 68 fastback) Pictures of the panel project!
