Tonite is the end of school dance for my youngins' at their school!!!! Sort of sad too as the school is closing this year, so our little neighbourhood school will be split up  But for tonite, we DANCE!!!!  ------------------

Oh, prom (sigh). . . those were the days . . . I am so jealous of them, Donna - you only get a very few opportunities to get all dolled up when you join the adult world and "grow up", I hope they appreciate what a special evening this is! HAVE FUN!!!!!! AND BE CAREFUL!!!!!!

SIX AND TEN ????? I didn't even know there was a difference between us and them until I was 21.....
My Junior Prom was 39 years ago.....NOW THAT IS SCAREY.....
I asked the girl in March...by May (Prom Nite) we hated each other...I still remember her name...what a knock out...
I hope that tonight she is 300 pounds, divorced 5 times and has only one tooth left.
Not that I'm bitter or anything... ------------------

Prom? Hell I have not been to one in.......16 years or so.  1986 was the last time I went to a prom. What a blast! ------------------

Like you rednecks got any room to talk.  Didn't one of your southern presidents or heros like Jerry Lee Lewis marry his 13 year old cousin?

Yup.......it's what we call "kissin' cousins"........ and who YOU callin' a redneck?????? Donna, My son's middleschool had a dance every quarter. My husband and I would tease him about chaperoning a dance.......just teasing him about it embarrassed him.........teee heeee heeeee.....I know, how mean to be mean to your pre-teen!!!!

yup alex, we have a test to see if they are old enough to marry. we stand them in a big wooden barrell and if their head sticks out the top, then they are old enpugh. if their head dont stick out, then we cut the top of the barrell off a little!!!------------------

NO Eddie, it's not a prom. I didn't go, but I did look up the year book and saw that you WERE there.
You were all dressed up in your Policemans uniform and looked so cute dancing to YMCA and IN the Navy. Just like one of the Village People.
It was so nice of the mechanics ball committee to allow dates to wear there daily work clothes, don't you think? ------------------
