Oh, I'm awake....have been all day. What with all these projects going on, I'm just now getting online! I did get my class projects completed and the last one will be turned in tomorrow..... Today I got this wild hair to paint the vanity in the kids bathroom. So, I pull all the drawers out and start throwing "junk" away (kids stuff). I get to the portion under the sink and it's wet.... there are tub toys under there and I start to get upset that the kids (well, my daughter, my son now takes showers!) have been putting those toys under there wet. I've got a rag in the sink with water running and uppppohhhhhhhh ~ there's a leak.... I get all those toys out and the bottom of the vanity is completely ruined. There is even a little damage to the subfloor. Now, my little Sunday afternoon "project" had turned into a major endeavour. Hubby is already out at Home Depot, but surprise, surprise, he does not have his cell phone on.... When he get's home, I'm sitting in the middle of the bathroom floor trying to clean up a "heap" of pressboard and on the verge of tears. Lucky for me, he had some plywood left over from an earlier project and he was able to at least get a bottom put in. He said he will fix the leak tomorrow. We will worry about the subfloor later and I was able to get my paint project finish ~ well, almost. I'm sure I'll have to put on another coat of paint, seeing as I had to paint the drawers outside under the flood lights, because it got dark on me... o.k. i'm rambling now....It has been a busy day, and yes, the Christmas shopping is just about finished.... I'm off to bed now.. NITE, NITE, SLEEP TIGHT!!

Sometimes it's best to just let them sleep.

Gee. I thought all the GRRLS were out shopping for Christmas presents for us. Ked, at least you found the leak now and not after the bottom of the vanity fell out. It could be a lot worse. Oh, it was gone ~ I've been wanting to replace that vanity for years. Now, with the new floor, new paint and leak fixed, it's better than new!

Ked, At least there is some good news from the vanity exercise. All is not lost but rather won. LOL!! Yup, Dave.... everytime I'd get a handful of that nasty, rotted, wet pressboard I would think about everytime I take on a project with the Mustang (either one!). Last time, I went to Napa Auto Parts like four times ~ something else would come up each time!!!
