A friend of mine is bringing in a caddy from Colorado, to make it viable he needs to fill the shipping container. I have always loved '30 and '40's ford coupes but thought that the dream of owning a steel body one had passed me by until me mentioned a 6 cylinder '47 coupe that he has a chance of getting, the description is a small amount of rust in the floor pan, I am yet to see pictures but thought I would make some initial inquires with people on the spot (so to speak). The questions are, are 30's and 40's steel body coupes as hard to find in the US as we in Australia a lead to believe ? what would a realistic price be for this car .... I can post more information as I get it. Any help or opinions will be greatly appreciated. 47 coupe is very hot property. Street rodders made them so when they started to turn them into what they called fat rods.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First NHRA & IHRA 289 automatic Superstock Mustang in the TENS 06-99 First SS/MA in the TENS 04-03 IHRA division 5 Superstock Champion Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked."
