Cuban Immigrants have now, for the third time, used a car or truck as part of their excape boat. First it was an early 50's Chev truck, then a 59 0r 60 Buick and now, a 46-8 Mercury stretch limo. It was truly rigged and had a bow attached to front. Don't know much beyond that but they were intercepted by the Coast Guard who sunk it.

Yeah, I seen that on our local news yesterday. Typical uninformed news story, around here at least, they called it a 1949 Mercury, which was a totally new design from the 42-48. A local radio station was joking that the "driver" likely said he was just delivering a fare, & wanted to be paid! I imagine the Cubans will be sent back, I wonder what will become of the car.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA M/Stock 302 5speed.
