Wondering if I could get your help. One of my good friends lucked into a 65 comet caliente for $1000. Car is in incredible shapeand the previous owners wife wanted it gone before a move to a new house.

Car need the suspension freshend up. Is it the same suspension as a 65 Mustang? It would make is a whole lot easier to get parts.

In addition, does anyone know a good parts supplier for comets?

Thanks,
Phil

The upper control arm from Comet and Falcon '64-'65 and Mustang '65-'66; lower control arm from Comet and Falcon '63-'65 and '65-'66 Mustang. Ball joints from '63-'66 Comet and Falcon, '65-'66 Mustang and '66 Fairlane all are the same.

Good luck!

Thank you very much.

The only thing better than working on your own car is being able to spend someone elses money on thier car!

Steering linkage is unique to Comet depending on engine size and production date.
I just went through this.

Thanks Alex. It has a 289. I don't have the production date.

I am very jealous of my friend. I know the previous owner from car shows 15 years ago and knew of the exact car. That is how nice it was and how much I liked it. When my buddy told me he bought that exact car for $1g I about passed out.

Anyway, he will be brining it over to start working on so I am sure I will have more questions and info soon.

Thanks again to all for your help.
