Anyone know a good place to get parts for a 1939 Commercial truck ? I have been trying to find the grommet that goes around the gas filler neck at the body. I have only found one place that said they had one and I ordered it and it was not even close. I even sent them a picture and they said it was the right part.

Michael, have you tried taking it some of the old Ford parts places in So Cal? Try CW Moss in Orange, or Vintage Ford in Stanton. Both of those places have real good guys working there, who will do what they can to get you the part, or at least something close that will work out.

It is my dads truck and it is in Monterey. I have contacted many companies on line and sent pictures of the part needed. Only one said they could get it and when I ordered it I was sent the wrong part. He said he was just going to try to make something to keep the filler neck from hitting the sheet metal.
Thanks

Give these guys a call. They're in North Carolina and Ford just made them an Official Reproduction Parts manufacturer.

Thanks,
I sent a picture to about 10 different companies and they are the only ones who replied.
They said they had it and the part they shipped was sort of right but would not work. My dad said he is going to try to make one to keep the filler neck from touching the body.
