JCQuinn@work Gearhead Posts: 898 From: Lakewood, CO, USA Registered: Jun 2001	posted 01-28-2005 10:18 AM The most important difference is the placement of the spark plug in a more centralized position in the combustion chamber. The P head has the plug positioned to optomize the flame front. These are called "fast burn" heads by some. The effect is more efficient combustion, more power and reduced emissions. When using the P head you should require less total ignition lead. I will find out how much less sometime this year when I fire up my P headed engine. I think the exhaust valve is slightly smaller due to a slightly better port. I may be remembering wrong though, I do not have any reference material here. John IP: Logged
