I could use some help. I have a 58 Fairlane It has stock wiring. In the column black tubed harness there are 6 wires that come out of the steering column & each plugs into the main harness under the dash. There is also a loose one (factory looking but not in the black insulation tube)Making it a total of 7 wires. I have the colors written down I would like to have someone tell me if they have a wiring diagram or know where each of the 7 wires go by color.I'm saving the column & wiring in it , but I'm updating the under dash wiring. The extra wire may be for the horn. In 57 the horn wire went down the hollow steering shaft and out the steering box to the horn relay. In 58 the put it on the outside the column.
These are the colours for the 57 Fords I can't say the 58's are the same but I would think they are.
The first colour is the wire the second is the tracer.
Left rear turn green/orange
Right rear turn orange/blue
Stop light switch green
Right front turn white/blue
Left rear turn green/white
The seventh wire should be the horn.
