:confused- I have a 1950 Ford Tudor Sedan that I am Street Rodding. I have a 302 with goodies, lock up to a AOD Trans that I got from a 1988 Lincoln Mark VIII. I just discovered it has a internal Neutral Safety Switch (NSS). I have a Lokar shifter connected. Lokar does not carry a NSS for this trans. Can someone apprise me how to go about hooking up a NSS for my application and exactly what parts I will need. Thanks !!!

Welcome to M&M !
An AOD uses a screw in external NSS.
It screws into the case.
Do you still have any of the wiring harness from the Mark VII?
I can help you wire the FoMoCo switch to your Lokar shifter.
You will need to use a Lokar NSS that mounts on the shifter for a relay.

The switch has four prongs on the primeter and a center piece. I notice that their is a prong missing on the switch or that the switch is made up with just four prongs in lieu of five prongs ??? What say you ???

Snow is now down to a treadable height and I can actually see the used parts shed.
I'll trek out there this afternoon and see what I have.

All of the harness' in my possesion have had the neutral saftey switch pig tails pirated already.
Sorry.

You should be able to get one from a 5.0 Mustang/T-Bird/Cougar in a junk yard though.
