Just looking for opinions here, so tell me what you think. I've been thinking about the interior color for my '57 Fairlane 500 4 door hardtop. The exterior is going to be solid black with some FL500 trim removed. The interior is the factory light/medium blue, a little darker than '66 Mustang blue. So, how do y'all think the blue would look w/ black exterior? You don't see that combo too often, think I should do it? I should mention I'm considering blue since most of the dash metal paint is in near perfect shape, so I don't have to worry about painting it over. So, black w/ blue interior, what do you think?

Anything goes with black. I think the most important thing is how you like it.

I just love Black 57's.

I like the look of a '57 done in solid black. I was going to paint it it's original Colonial White & Dresden Blue, but saw a black '57 and said, "Mine is gonna be black." Well, anything does go w/ black, but you see very few black cars w/ blue interiors. At least I know you won't see another black '57 FL500 4dr HT with blue int and 16" American's.

Can't disagree. Nothing nicer that a well done black paint job that looks like you can stick your arm into up to the elbow,

It will be a 'mother' to keep clean, though. Get it all nice and washed up and dried off. (at least you thought so.) Anything that holds water will hold it until you walk away. Then you got dozen or so water streaks. I've gone as far as using shop air and leaf blowers to dry the Lightning.

I know the black will be a challenge to keep clean, but it'll also kind of hide the 4 door look of it and blend the doors to the body so you don't see the gap as much. Kind of gives it the 2 door look, especially when I remove the gold trim the 500's have.
