Does anybody here installed disc brakes on the front of their late 50`s Ford? Although I recently replaced the front shoes, wheel cylinders, & rubber hoses on my 59, I may look at installing discs up front, at a later date. I have heard the Granada spindles can be made to fit, but that the lower ball joint tapered hole needs to be enlarged, also the spindle hieght is different, making the front a fair bit lower. I have also heard that the mid-late 70`s Torino, Tbird, LTD 2 are supposed to pretty much "bolt in". Anybody got any input?------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed 59 Meteor (Canadian Ford) 2 dr sedan 332, auto 74 F350 ramp truck 390 4spd

Has anybody tried any of the kits for a disc swap from any of the brake places, like Stainless steel or anything. I have my '57 Fairlane that I want to add disc brakes to, since drums would look dumb behind 16" polished Torque Thrusts II's. I've seen the kits, and have kicked around the idea, but haven't anything good or bad yet.------------------ Gary M.- 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford pickup, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic
