Has anybody seen this kit and can give some info on it? When it was made and if is a whole kit or just a customizing kit. Looks to me like its a complete kit!

It's a complete kit with a body in white and a chrome tree. Looks like an original 1963.5 kit. 3 in 1 kits by AMT and Johan were the norm back in the sixties for the current model year offerings. There are enough parts to build it as stock, a period custom (fender skirts, spot lights, dual antena's, chrome wheels etc) or competition. Could be drag or Nascar. I don't remember on that particular kit. I used to build a million of them back then before I was driving. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First NHRA & IHRA 289 automatic Superstock Mustang in the TENS 06-99 First SS/MA in the TENS 04-03 IHRA division 5 Superstock Champion Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." The 63Galaxie kit has been reissued several times recently and it was reissued with the original box art in the AMT Buyers Choise series about 10 years ago and that issue is molded in grey plastic. You can build it stock, custom or drag. The chassie in this kit is a platform chassie with everything molded in except for the engine, a better more detailed chassie and FE engine is provided in the recent AMT 60 Galaxie Starliner kits (Stock #30044 and Custom #30045) and it will fit this kit with some minor modifications. If you use the custom version of the 60 Starliner you also get an option of dual 4bbl or three 2bbl carbs and intakes, two sets of FE valve covers, long cast iron headers and some other neat stuff. ------------------ Han Persson Sweden

It must have been re-issused again recently. I bought one less than a year ago at a local hobby store. It's got all the wierd customizing parts with it, just like the old kits did.
