I have an original AMT kit of a 69 Cougar that was made in 1969. I have the kits from the 80s w/ a Boss 429(AMT/Matchbox),the 90s Boss 302, and the current w/ 428CJ. Anyway, the old kit can be built 1 of 3 ways; stock, drag or custom. Anyone have any info about Cougar show cars from late 68/69 beside the Eliminator show car? The engine is a 390 with either 4V or 4 Webbers that mount to the heads at 45 degrees and the intake tubes curve and cross like an X and inhale from over the opposite valve cover. Stock manifolds and the headers like the 80s kit are included. The custom parts include a flatter hood w/ a small raised box on each side above the ram tubes,a couple front grille options and the tail lights are one big lens w/ the kitty emblem in the center. It has tags w/ "1969" molded with the bumpers. Was going to build stock, but now I would like to make like an original show car if I can get any info. Anybody remember this car? Appreciate any help. Thanks.
