I am going to try this on a 62 T-bird roadster I am making now. Has anyone done this, with some helpful tips? The trim will look more like chrome, hopefully.

What exactly is silver leaf? There are products made for trimming model kits. They are thin adhesive backed metal sheets. Bare Metal Foil sells them in different metal types, like alum, chrome, bright chrome, brass and black chrome.

That is what I meant. I thought it was like gold leaf, but I was mistaken. It came out well! It is a trick to learn, though. You have to burnish it real easy.

Go to the grocery and buy the WOOD Q-tips. You can use the cotton ends for burnishing and strip it off and file the wood ends to special shapes for burnishing in small crevices, like around windshield chrome. They are small enough you can't get a strong enough grip to hurt the thin Bare Metal foil.Tracy
