I just bought a 427 SOHC motor, it is really neat, turn the flywheel and the pulleys on the front turn, 2 holley carbs, oval air cleaner, plug wires. Probably 1/4 scale, I'll have to check. It was $40I wish it was a real one. ------------------ Stuart MCA #48902 M&M #1091 67 stang 5 speed, 351W, Edelbrock Performer RPM package my photo page

What is the company of manufacture? Put some gas in it to see if it will fire.

I found the 427 SOHC engines in a magazine last night. You can buy them from California Car Cover Co www.calcarcover.com The item number is 84025 and they are listed at $29.99 each. It is a 1:6th scale model! They also have a Cobra 4.6 liter DOHC engine in 1:4th scale. But you don't want to see the price! $299.99. I think I will stick with the 427. I went Christmas shopping today with my wife at a new Walmart near home, & I found a 1/6th scale 427SOHC model, made by Revell. The box states that the engine is metal, but I supose I won`t know for certain until Christmas day, as it`s a present . The price was $29.99 Canadian, I`m sure it would be cheaper in the US. The picture on the box shows the engine with plug wires, oval air cleaner, oil filter, fuel pump & lines, looks pretty well detailed. I can`t wait til Christmas!!------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA M/Stock 302 5speed. Rory, I'd like that better, get to build it yourself, I saw some Chrysler Hemi motor models, haven't checked Wally World lately, maybe today.

I was just at Harboru Freight Monday and picked up this engine model for $22. Pretty cool, nicely detailed carbs, fuel line, and plug wires.

I got the 427 SOHC engine about a year go and it's neat, Last week I also bought the Race 426 Hemi. I found this pic a couple of days ago and that's an even cooler SOHC and I thought it's a must have. ------------------ H?kan Persson Sweden John Force King of Funny Car [This message has been edited by Force (edited 12-25-2005).]
