For plastic kits,they are high in detail. I haven't seen one in a while. I used to prefer them to AMT. AMT has came up a bit in the last few years though.

MPC was bought by AMT a few years ago. Once in a while AMT will re-release an old MPC kit as an AMT kit. The most expensive are the late 60's funny cars. They were the most accurate kits of the day of that era's funny cars.
