Ertl/AMT has a 1/25 kit of the Hardcastle & McCormick Coyote car wich is based on the old Ford GT.It has the lower chassis, suspension and drivetrain(427 8V) but silly 80's rims. A guy I work with is very informative about modeling and tells me that when new the Ford GT kits were slow sellers in the 60's. So MPC rebodied the GT's as other kits to make up the loss. Crazy, huh? How many of us passed by this kit and thought it's a VW kit car? Me too. Anyway the kit is now discontinued, but we have about 30 or 40 kits in the warehouse at my work. If anyone needs one , let me know. Cost is about 10.00 plus postage. Steve K

That sounds cool,Steve!I saw a duplicate of the Coyote car at the Universal Studios in Hollywood a long time ago. It was a cool car? I too thought it was a VW chassis.

M, the real car was most likely a VW kit car. I just meant that the model is a good parts source for anyone's old MPC Ford GT model. I have an old 1/25 MPC see thru J Car kit I got at a swap meet and it needed some suspension parts. Thought I'd never get to make it right. So many projects(full size & scale), so little time. Steve
