The car club I belong to (1:1 scale), CC Riders put on our first model car show last year in conjunction with our 1:1 car show. We were thrilled at the participation that we had for our first year. There were several people who said they have never built a model but would do so for this years show. That was exciting knowing that we may have sparked some interest in individuals who never enjoyed modeling.

As a club, we raise money for the Carl Perkins Child Abuse Center here in Jackson, TN as well as Chester, Hardeman, and Henderson counties. We had a great turnout last year with individuals from Memphis, Jackson, Nashville and surrounding towns. I would like to invite your club to our show this year. Following are the details.

August 23, 2003 (rain date Aug. 30th)
Pringles Park
10AM-5PM
Categories for Youth and Adult
Entry Fee $1.00 per car entered
Swap and Sell spaces available
There will be awards given in each class
We will also hold raffles every hour for model show participants (last year we had new kits and accessories for modeling to give away to participants)

Admission to the entire car show is $2 for adults, $1 kids 6-12
A $5 donation before game day gets you into the car show AND the ball game that night!!!

There will be a fun auction at 12:00 noon
Food and drinks will be available

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I hope to hear from you soon!

My club is having a show and swap meet, too.

Saturday August 9. Admission is free, and $8 to enter a model plus $1 for each additional model entered.

Last year we had over 300 models entered in the contest. And thousands of old kits for sale, not to mention parts - old and new resin replicas and conversions.

That's cool! The model club scene is fairly dead up here. There are some good ones down in Mass, but I don't want to go that far for that.
