Just wondering how many of you in M&M land also collect automobilia, such as old gas nozzels, old oil cans (glass, tin, steal), old Ford Script tools, signs, etc.... Come on now folks. I know I'm not the only one.

Well, I almost hate to admit this but.......

I have hung onto one of the Ford glovebox tool kits for a Pinto. It came in a small blue pastic case with a key shaped tool inside that serveed as a common and phillips screwdriver along with a side to gap the plugs. It had the Pinto color logo. I have had this 'tool' close to 20 years now.

I also have one of the Ford Blue covered OHO catalog/books that I have made copies of and put the original away some years ago. It still has a lot of valuable info in it for as tollerances and specs.

I have several dozen of the old Ford logo wrenches. Use them regularly, too.

Small collection of license plates. Among which is a nice set of 1958 NY plates, for that 58 Fury I might get someday.

Wheel covers. Mostly Ford, except for the occasional one that lands here like a flying saucer.

Can't believe that someone has one of those Pinto things. Never had one but have the key gizmo. They passed them out at the dealer. Have some early Corvette lit, ads, and early Mustang ads and brochures.

Hate to admit all the junk I've acquired.
Example - in today's mail was the Texaco Fire Chief cookie jar I won on ebay.
Looks pretty cool. I'll plant it on the shelf next to the Mustang cookie jars.
Today I won an auction for a Ford dealership flag. Will look great hanging in the garage.

The restoration of the 64.5 Indy is about to begin so the the "collectibles" will stop, and parts collecting will begin.

Original car ads for the cars I own (or owned--'63 T-bird etc.), sales brochures of my cars or limited editions (Bullitt brochure, etc.), special car posters (several signed--most prized is by builder of 1940's dry lake racer "SoCal Tank", Alex Xydia), cardboard oil cans (Mustang Oil Company here in Portland) and some tin signs. Have them all set up in "my" spare bedroom but am quickly running out of room.

Joyce,
Terri and I recently got something you might want. We have a Indinapolis 500 hat/lapel pin, dated 1965. It's a year later than the pace car, but close enough for goverment work.
We also won three more prints on E-bay last night. Check out item # 735655493. We are running out of wall space do to all the posters, prints, and tin signs.

I have some of the old Ford script wrenches that I found under the gas tank of one of my '46 pickups. I also collect license plates from the '40's...especially 46-47 truck plates. Let's see, what else...I restored a '56 Lincoln valve cover, bought a Model A cyl head for $5, complete set of '47 Mercury 1/2 ton truck trim, old car magazines, hub caps...the list goes on and on.
