My nephew got married last June to a lovely young lady (whose Dad owns a Ford dealership ). But now he has an uncle-in-law (on her Mom's side) who is a rabid shivi and Dale Earnhardt fan. This guy found about 20 1/64 scale Earnhardt cars at a large price and he bought them all... because: "They're gonna be worth a bundle! They're factory mistakes. They're number 15 and have FORD printed on them, and EVERYBODY knows Dale never drove a Ford!"

Was it a 55 Crown Victoria or something in a peachish color? Dale DID drive some Fords when he first started. I'll go see if I can find one.

Those were the ones he got. From what Meredith (my niece-in-law) says, this guy pretends to be an expert on all things Earnhardt, but he doesn't even know that Earnhardt drove for Bud Moore (IN A F O R D!)

I have a few cronies like that at work. One guy claims to have over 500 cars, trucks, and etc for Dale. From the pictures he's shown me,I believe him! He converted a single car garage into a NASCAR shrine.
