I wonder what kind of mark up on THESE babys when Hertz finishes with them???

Sounds like they may have some sort of "On-Star" type monitoring system to keep people from Thrashing them & probably pulling engine swaps too...
That'll just take ALL the fun out of renting one, if you can't get away with abusing it a little.------------------
