Our club meeting was at a Ford dealership tonight.
They were playing the new commercials. Saw the Field of Dreams version.
Steve McQueen walks out of the cornfield and is given the keys to a new 05 and drives in a race course through the cornfield. Kinda "corny." haha!
But seeing McQueen actually sitting in the 05 was incredible. How do they do that?
Gave me goose bumps and hair raise on the back of my neck!
Only problem is the 05 he drove should have been green.

There is also a commercial with a red 05 against the redrock background of Southern Utah. Of course I loved that one too.

Mike talked to the dealership owner and he said we could probably order a Cobra next summer.

I am going to have to change the channel when those ads come on. They are going to make me go get an '05 before I can get it below MSRP .

Tim, one of the dealers here is giving our club members $800 over INVOICE, not MSRP!
Wanna join?

It wasn't green?

Boy, they blew that one, didn't they? That car would be perfect for a Bullitt edition.

That might have been the coolest commercial ever. When I saw the figure step out of the cornfield, I was half-expecting Carroll Shelby, but when I saw it was none other than Lt. Frank Bullitt, I went nuts. Awesome!
Here it is, for anyone hasn't seen it:

They ran the series of commercials last night, Nov-04.
First you see close-up glimpses of the car screaming through the corn field. OK- I'm thinking what's more American than a Mustang in a cornfoeld in the heart of America.
Then it shows the farmer walking out to the barn and opening the door. OK- more tease.
When it shows the guy paving a road circuit through the cornfield, it really amused me...
But like wadeB3, when I saw McQueen come to take the keys I just couldn't stop grinning. What a commercial. Those ad guys really know how to strike a nerve. Charlie
