Poll.... please post whether or not you like the 05 Stang. I for one am over the aero/euro front-end style on EVERY SINGLE car nowadays, US or otherwize.

If any car company needs that type of front end to be competitive in racing then make the required 499 cars for track purposes and lets get back to good styling. IMHO

I like it. I don't think it looks too aero at all. I consider cars like the Nissan 350Z or Audi TT coupe as too aero. I think the 05 has style. {now if they would just go back to pushrod engines...}

I agree with Buster. Most of it's boring, and the bits of it that aren't are too "aero". If I saw one in the street without the horse on the front, I'd think it was Japanese.
P.S.: I think Ford would do well to headhunt some designers from Chysler. They seem to be the only cutting-edge designers in America these days.

I don't care for it at all, but I'm sure it'll grow on me just like the new ones have over time. But the day that a new version can be compared to a classic version.. that'll be the day.

I like it, got to play with the White one at the 40th, the seating position is better than the 99-04's. We were considering a new F-150 in September, but now the Mustang is starting to look almost as good as the F-150. Bad thing about it is that Beck would make me drive her 01 convert.

Sort of like it. It seems a bit incomplete. For example, there should be trim around the side windows to complete the retro look. Can't believe that they brought back puke green. Seems like that color reflects time. In 1967/8 there was unrest like now. Like in 67/8, it spread to different makes. Like the 6 cyl grille better than the GT grille. Still think they could have done a better job on the tailites. Looking forward to seeing one. Now then, if I had the coins....would be tooling a 500 series Benz retractable.

I really do like it. I've said before and I'll say it again, this car really does look like a mustang through and through. Contrary to alot of guys here I also like the mod motors. Maybe they are not optimal compared to our old pushrod engines, but the things that Ford has been able to do with what they have is pretty cool. I can't wait to hear how the new 3V 4.6 performs.

One fine car, very impressed. I meet the head Project engineer for the 05 at the 40th. I think his name was Art Hyde, something like that. They put alot of effort into it and it shows. Nice work Ford!

Mod motors well, I got mixed feelings about them, but they're here now. Might as well learn to live with it.

they did just fine on the T-Bird too. And although Chrysler has done some nice designing, I think they had a brain fart on the 300 with that ugly oversized grill.

I like it a lot! Cannot wait to see the 05'and a half COBRA's. I've heard rumors of an 06' Shelby sporting the 500hp 5.4 from the FORD GT. Then again, rumors are rumors.

As I've said before in the racing forum, what's under the hood is very important to me. I won't buy a vehicle with the triton v8. It's a good thing there are lots of used cars cause if I had to buy a new one it would be from the dark side.

You can't be serious, are you? The designers at Chrysler are on drugs! The Chrysler lineup is a bunch of clown cars!

I kind of agree with Fastback68. There aren't many cars out there with any real styling. Bowtie fans can hang their hat on the SSR I guess, but it's too small for the $$.

I'm hit or miss on the 300. I respect that they're trying to do something different though. The magnum has peaked my attention. I really like the preliminary pics of the Charger, too.

Ford did a great job on the '05 stang, I think. I think it needs to be a little bit lower, but I like it overall. I too am waiting to see the niche models. I think they did a good job on the T-bird too, but the car just didn't warrant the absurd pricetag. We Ford fans just don't have a lot to be excited about. There's a lot of fanfare over the F150, but I don't see it being much of a radical departure over the previous trucks. None of the SUVs do a whole lot for me. The Tauri are just flat boring. I'm not sure the 500 will be much better, but I'm hopeful. I keep waiting for something to really knock my socks off, but I don't see it anywhere, unless you include the GT...but that'll be knocking someone else's socks off....might as well be a Ferrari for that price.

Thank God for the 'stang!

I like the '05s too, in fact that is one of the cars we are considering purchasing later this year (a GT of course) . The other ones we are looking at are the 300, the Magnum, a Grand Caravan and the ML series of Mercedes (I know, quite a range lol). We looked at the Taurus, Freestar, Focus and Escape and none of them seemed to perk our interests. I wish Ford would do a cool 4 door car...

I hope our beloved stang is an exception to that!

I don't really care for the headlights. They look droopy. Almost like Fisher-Price made a toy of a 65 Mustang and rounded all the corners so kids couldn't poke their eyes out.

The rest of the car is cool.
