Color ones look like the new Cougar to me or dare I say it, the new Toyota Celica (which looks like it was copied from the Cougar itself :>). Things always look different in concept drawing than reality so I wanna see some full size clay models (although I am sure Ford is about to the point where they will stop talking about the design).------------------ Tim M&M Member #35 1965 Mustang coupe, 200 ci w/ a Holley 2300, Clifford header, and true duals w/ 26" Smithys 1988 Mustang GT vert, totally stock for now http://all.at/mustang https://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/I65Stang.html

That bottom red one looks like pure monster muscle...a definite muscle car in my eyes. But thats probably because of the incredible rear wheel size. I can't see Ford actually putting on a wheel like that. That top one, the hybrid Taurus/Mustang. That's a real dog. I hate that look. I'd never own one, but that's not the reason why I hope thats not the final design. I also want to be proud of the Mustang line. I want the line to continue the heritage and prestige of previous "blood lines". Man, I truly hope Ford final design is vastly improved over that black and white picture. Uhg! What are they thinking??? Stewart

I really doubt it will end up looking like the black/white picture. They'd never make an ugly Mustang.------------------ SteveLaRiviere/Webmaster -- MCA # 47773

What's this? It looks like a celica or supra puked on that Mustang Mach 3 concept. Reminds me of that hundai [however you spell that]. It's like they turned a Mustang into a new Probe [normally called a 2001 Cougar]. Lets hope they don't try to appeal more toward the "import" or "sport compact" group. What ever happend to raised white letters, Magnum 500s, functional hood scoops, stripes that actually look good?------------------ 92XR7SC-232 WANTED:68-70 Cougar

The red and black one has some nice high shoulders in the back I like that. Put a functional hood scoop on it and I would save a spot in my garage for it, but they always like to keep us guys guessing.

I saw three proposed models of the 2003 Mustang and they look nothing like that picture. They also have a full scale clay that is similar to one of the three! My guess is that we will not be getting that Taurus with Mustang badging.... quote: Originally posted by SteveLaRiviere: I found the picture on this site: http://www.home.pon.net/hunnicutt/history_94_02.htm

Hey, we finally have another Stewart (Probably spelled the English way tho, correct? As in, Stuart?) here at M&M!Welcome to the site, Stu. And be sure to drop by Sam's Place and introduce yourself. Steve, I said it before, and I'll say it again...I hope Stu is correct and we don't get that Taurus cloned Mustang. It would be a shame to the heritage and tradition if they don't keep the styling recognizable as a pure Ford Pony. Stewart [This message has been edited by Stewart (edited 03-30-2001).]

The mustang models I saw were in the Ford design center in Dearborn, MI. It seemed to be more of a retro look similar to the '69 Mach I. Anything could change but with only a year until production I doubt major changes would occur.

Sorry guys but there is no way in hell I could get pictures! Let's just say that I liked what I saw and hope that it does come true. If it does then I think Ford will continue to smash the, as of 2003, non-existent Camaro/Firebird. As a matter of fact I got rid of my '98 GT and am saving to order my '03 as we speak.

Hi guys, over there. A journalist over here recently met upper floor management people at Dearborn and he was told that the next generation Mustang is more a retro-style Mustang close to the 67 model. So either it will be a 67 style or a 69style. Seems that Ford has dumped those draft drawings shown above. I would prefer the 67 retro-style mustang or like this one - the Mustang Milano.
