Hi, our 76 coupe is in the body shop getting it's fenders and front bumper smoothed out and painted. They painted over the unleaded gas transer above the cap on the one fender. I want to order another transfer (decal) but see there are 2 different ones. One says "Unleaded Fuel Only" and the other says, "Unleaded Gas Only."

Which one did my 76 11 MPG Mustang have? I believe it was Unleaded Fuel Only but am not positive.

Thanks,
Vicki

Sorry, can't help with the question, and curiosity has got the better of me, why does the car ONLY get 11 mpg??? I would go with fuel, since they usually spell out gasoline. Thanks for any info and time, and good luck on your mission .

MPG was the fuel economy car. The 11 should be II. Anyway, back to the original question. I believe that the Unleaded Fuel Only is the correct decal. I have a picture of a coupe that seems to be original paint and the decal above the gas cap says Unleaded Fuel Only. I'll look through a few more pictures and see if I can confirm that the MPG Mustang II had the same decal.

I hope this helps.

Thanks UbF! I would appreciate that. I am pretty sure it is Unleaded Fuel Only too, just wanted to make sure before I order one.

Yeah, it's FUEL. I don't know of too many manufacturers that use the word "gas" or even "gasoline" when it comes to that.
