I plan to put a V8 in my 78 fastback . It know has a 2.8 dose anyone know how much differnt the mounts on the frame are. I was thinking of building solid mounts to the V6 frame mounts any info will help.

I have read that the "Frame" mounts are the same between the v6-v8 cars. Never verified that though.

both the fraim mounts & motor mounts are different.I tryed the 302 in a v6 car the engine was cockied on the drivers side & would not bolt up on one side.I stock the oem fraim mounts & motor mounts for the mustang II v8 conversion.Phil
