Does anyone have any thoughts on stripping the paint off of the lacy wheels? Will a chem. paint stripper damage the wheels? Never stripped paint off of wheels before. Have been able to get all the paint off except down in the lacy areas. Only ways I have thought of are chem. or bead blasting (don't have access yet to one yet). Any thoughts would be great.

I can't believe no one replied to this post.I don't think it will damage the wheel to use a chem stripper just put on a small amount inside the lacey spoke at the back to test first.many good m2's were trial and error inculding my own ie.bad paint job. fixed it up nice the next year.my 77 has the aluminum lacey's but they were so dull I took the center caps out and painted the wheels gloss black they look pretty cool.
