I putting in a 77 302 in a 77 II. My problem is the trans is to far forward to bolt to the crossmember. Do I need a differant crossmember? If so from what? Or do I have to modify it. Is this caused by using a mustang GT bell housing instead of a standard bell housing?Mike [This message has been edited by mike77mustangII (edited 11-23-2004).]

MIKE, check the tech section oo MUSTANGII.NET it has a article dealing with this. One more thing to think about is the GT bell housing is larger than theII and will not work with off the shelf headers.
