can anyone help me? I was wondering how the one piece bumper trim was originally attached? Mine has adhesive and then it also has six small staples in it. One on each end and then four in the middle. Is this factory?
Thanks

Yep, that's factory for the late '77/'78 IIs. My Ghia's rear bumper used to be like that...when I had the bumpers replaced, I switched it over to the early '77 style, to match the front bumper.

The early '77 style is raised out of the groove that it attaches to the bumper in.

From '74-'76, the bumper trim was actually an aluminum strip.
