I am converting my 76 Mustang II 302/C4 auto to a 351 Cleveland/Toploader trans. Saw a couple of Mustang II's registered here that have had this conversion and many that are similar. ANY help and advice would be greatly appreciated. One concern is where to get/how to make headers. The engine has Australilan 351C heads. My next concern is how well does the toploader trans fit into the Mustang II and which tailshaft location for the linkeage works best. There are 3 stock locations possible on the tailshaft for mounting linkeage. Next concern after that is what oil pan to use. Pretty sure nobody makes a 351 Cleveland oil pan for a Mustang II but if they do where can I get one. Which pan is closest and how do you modify it to fit? ANY advice is appreciated. THANK YOU!!!

Dunno about the toploader, I have a c-4 behind by 351c-4V. As for headers I have a sort of tri-y setup right now. I will be re-doing them and going probably with a fenderwell set up. It gets real tight on the 3/4 cylinder side for space between motor and frame.
