Well, obviously, you'll need the 302 to swap into it, first off. Then you'll need the motor mounts, a new tranny for a V8, radiator, and suspension. Don't know about rear suspension, that's a maybe, but you'll definitely need new shocks and spring up front to support the V8's weight. At least, those are the things I can think of. Might be some other minor things that I'm forgetting, and someone could chime in with the rest. As for where to get the stuff...Ford may still carry the motor mounts, but for a price...looking at upwards of $100 per side. But it's worth it. Some people have said the ones you can buy at Pep Boys/etc are kinda lousy. Suspension stuff...also readily available...either from a donor car, or even check some hot rod magazines. Hot rodders love the MII's front end, so the aftermarket is there. I've seen radiators available through Mustangs Unlimited or The Paddock. Tranny and other stuff...probably gonna have to hit up salvage yards for that stuff for a low price. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '03 Mustang GT coupe '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good"

A few things to add:1. You need a front sump oil pan. 2. You can use either headers, stock V8 Mustang II exhaust manifolds, or in a pinch late 60's small block Mustang manifolds will work. 3. You need the V8 Musatng II frame mounts besides the motor mounts. And the after market V8 Motor Mounts sold by Pep Boys etc are not the correct ones, THEY DON'T FIT. Right now Ford is the only sourse I know of for the correct ones. 4. As far as the rear suspension, as a V6 car it should already have the same 8" rear end and springs found in the V8 cars. 5. Modine makes a replacement V8 3 row radiator that you might find a lettle cheaper. 6. It would also help if you could find a V8 fan shroud but their not easy to come by. 7. As far as a tranny, if your going with an automatic and can't find the small case C4 that was Mustang II only, a standard small case unit will fit but is a little tight on the exhuast. Check this site and others for tech info on AODs, and 4 and 5 speed conversions. Hope this helps

I'm sorry, I was stressed for time on the begining post!I have a 76 stock 302 backed by the C4. The car that I have has already been started by someone and they either lost interest or ran into financial trouble. It has the 8 inch rear under there already, body is 50% complete, interior is 75% complete. It also had a small bellhousing in the truck of the car when I bought it, no transmission though so I'm assuming that this is the bellhousing that I need. The V6 frame & motor mounts won't work then, like in other ford applications? Oil pan can't just be turned around on the block? what about wiring harness?
