I live in ca and can not find smog legal hedders for my car can you help its a 77 mustang 2 with a 302 with stock heads and 2bl carb help me get some sound when i take off.

With you combination you don't need headers.
Utilize the stock exhaust manifolds and have a good muffler weld you up a good 2.25 dual system.
Or you can have them run 2.0-2.25 from the manifolds into a single 3.0 back, over axle and into a dual or single outlet flowmaster muffler.
Not only will you get a nice sound you will pick up a few horses.
You really don't need headers till you start turning the engine to high RPMs and more intake and camshaft.
Besides its cheaper and less hassle without the tubes.
